Key Responsibilities The State of Utah’s Internal Audit Division is seeking an analytical, collaborative, and forward-thinking Internal Auditor to join our team. We are looking for a highly skilled communicator and analytical problem-solver to conduct professional audits, communicate strategic improvements, and partner closely with state agencies. If you have strong technical skills, a collaborative spirit, and a passion for upholding the highest standard of professional integrity (or carry a CPA, CIA, or IAP certification), this is your opportunity to do meaningful work in a dynamic team environment. Day-to-day responsibilities of this position: Conduct audits in accordance with professional standards. Identify and communicate audit issues, technical matters, and improvement opportunities. Develop and maintain an excellent working relationship with the divisions being audited Maintain and comply with the highest degree of professional standards, confidentiality, and personal conduct. Qualifications Minimum or "day-one" qualifications: Excellent interpersonal, analytical, and research skills. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Ability to think independently and problem-solve in a results-driven, team-oriented, environment. Strong computer and technical skills. Preferred qualifications: A professional license or certification, such as, a certified public accountant, certified internal auditor, or internal audit practitioner.
