TransUnion's Job Applicant Privacy Notice Team Overview It’s an exciting time to join TransUnion. We’re growing and evolving as a global information and insights company that makes trust possible between businesses and consumers around the world. Every day, that work helps people access opportunities that can improve their quality of life. The People Communications team, part of Corporate Affairs & Communications, helps bring that story to life for associates. Keeping them informed is important, of course. But we also play a central role in shaping how they experience TransUnion. We partner with leaders across the company to keep associates feeling connected and inspired, continually exploring new ways to capture hearts and minds while showing current and prospective talent why TransUnion is a great place to work. This is a remote position which may require occasional in-person attendance at work-related events at the discretion of management. Role Overview And Core Responsibilities We're looking for an Internal Communications Consultant to serve as a partner to our HR organization, which plays a critical role in TransUnion’s success. HR helps create the conditions for our business and people to thrive, powering today’s performance and tomorrow’s possibilities. Your role will be to help associates understand, engage with and benefit from that work. You'll develop communications that convey HR's strategy, programs and priorities in ways that are clear, relevant and impactful. You'll partner with HR leaders, challenge conventional thinking, uncover great stories and create communications that help people feel valued, supported and empowered. Success in this role isn't about fulfilling requests or checking boxes. It's about building trust by helping partners achieve their goals through thoughtful, audience-focused communications. And you’ll be backed in that pursuit by a team of smart, supportive and creative people, eager to hear your ideas and ready to experiment and grow with you. What you’ll do: Build strong relationships with HR teams and become a trusted adviser. Create and execute strategic, audience-focused communications plans that inform, engage and inspire. Develop and deliver content across a wide range of channels, including intranet stories and posts, emails, videos, talking points, digital signage and social media. Help leaders communicate clearly, authentically and effectively. Find and tell stories that strengthen our culture and showcase TransUnion as a great place to work. Use insights gleaned from performance data and feedback to continuously improve reach and effectiveness. Develop AI-powered solutions to automate tasks, simplify basic communications needs, give partners DIY options and support strategy and innovation. Help our team evolve, innovate and raise the bar. Required Knowledge And Experiences You’ll thrive in this role if… You're an exceptional writer, editor and storyteller with at least 3 years of experience in communications, journalism or a related field. You make the complex clear, concise and compelling, so content both respects the audience’s time and is worth it. You understand that great communications don't just inform people; they influence what people feel, think and do. You see things from the audience’s perspective and know how to write with empathy and personality. You keep the big picture in mind while designing and executing effective tactical plans. You're curious, creative, excited about (and experienced in) new technology, including AI, and enjoy working in an environment that’s continuously evolving. You can manage multiple projects and priorities, meeting deadlines with results that make you proud. You’re a problem solver who builds trust quickly, enjoys collaborating and embraces the flexibility needed to work across cultures and time zones. You have a bachelor’s degree in communications, journalism or a closely related field, and the basics of those disciplines are second nature to you. Bonus points if you have experience with… HR or employer branding. Global or multicultural organizations. Workvivo or similar employee communication platforms. For positions based in South Africa, preference will be given to suitably qualified candidates from designated groups in line with the company's Employment Equity plan and targets. Should you not hear from TransUnion within 3 weeks from applying, please regard your application as unsuccessful. Employment with TransUnion GCC Africa requires that you work from a fibre‑ready home environment that supports confidential and comfortable day‑to‑day work. You may be based anywhere in South Africa with fibre connectivity; however, working outside of South Africa is not permitted. A minimum 100/100 Mbps fibre line is required and must be installed or upgraded by day one of employment. As a credit bureau, certain roles also require a clear credit record.
