Flight Crew International (FCI) is a global aviation staffing and crew solutions company supporting airlines and aircraft operators around the world.
We are looking for a highly organized, proactive, and exceptionally dependable International Crew Operations Coordinator – South Africa to join our growing team.
This is not a traditional administrative or data-entry role. You will play an important role in coordinating pilots, schedules, travel, client requirements, and last-minute operational changes across multiple countries and time zones.
What You’ll Do
Coordinate pilot schedules, assignments, rotations, availability, and positioning across Asia-Pacific and other international markets.
Communicate directly with pilots and clients by email, phone, WhatsApp, Teams, and other platforms.
Monitor upcoming assignments and proactively identify scheduling or staffing issues.
Manage last-minute crew changes, replacements, cancellations, and schedule adjustments.
Coordinate pilot travel, positioning, training, and other operational requirements.
Follow up persistently with pilots to obtain information, confirmations, and availability.
Maintain accurate crew records and scheduling information.
Work closely with FCI’s recruiting, compliance, payroll, and operations teams.
Escalate issues quickly and, whenever possible, bring potential solutions—not simply problems.
Provide occasional early-morning, evening, weekend, or urgent operational support when required.
Who We’re Looking For
We want someone who takes ownership.
When a pilot doesn’t respond, you don’t simply say, “I emailed them.” You find a way to get an answer.
When a schedule changes, you don’t wait to be told what to do. You assess the situation, identify the options, and communicate the best solution.
The ideal candidate is:
Extremely organized and detail-oriented
Proactive, persistent, and dependable
Comfortable working independently
An excellent English communicator
Calm under pressure
Comfortable managing multiple priorities and time zones
Highly responsive and service-oriented
Comfortable working outside traditional business hours when necessary
Technologically savvy and quick to learn new systems
Preferred Experience
Experience in aviation, airline crew scheduling, flight operations, dispatch, aviation staffing, travel/logistics, or a 24/7 operations environment is highly preferred.
Aviation experience is a strong plus, but we are open to exceptional operations professionals who demonstrate the right skills and mindset.
Location
Remote – South Africa preferred
The primary working schedule will align with Asia-Pacific operations, with flexibility for occasional early mornings, evenings, weekends, and urgent operational matters.
Why FCI?
You’ll work with an international aviation company and have the opportunity to grow with a team that manages pilots and crew operations across the world.
For the right person, this role can grow into a Senior Crew Operations or South Africa Operations leadership position.
If you’re the person people rely on when something needs to get done, we’d like to hear from you.
