International Payroll Specialist Advanced English (Valencia+Hybrid)

Marlex is looking to incorporate a Payroll Specialist with advanced English for an important international multinational company, a benchmark organization and leader in innovation and digital transformation.

The selected candidate will join the global Finance & Accounting team, being responsible for the end-to-end management of payroll processes across different international regions (Americas, EMEA and APAC).

We are looking for a professional specialized in Payroll Operations, with experience managing the complete payroll cycle from start to finish, including payroll preparation and processing, coordination with external payroll providers, compliance with regulations and support during closing and audit processes.

Location: Valencia or Hybrid working model for candidates located in Valencia or nearby areas.

Job Description:

• Manage and execute the complete payroll cycle for employees across multiple international regions.
• Ensure the accurate preparation, review and timely delivery of monthly and semi-monthly payrolls.
• Review and validate payroll inputs, including new hires, terminations, salary changes, transfers, benefits and other contractual updates.
• Collaborate with Finance, HR teams and external payroll providers to ensure accurate and high-quality payroll processes.
• Manage the validation of payroll data, files and communications with external payroll vendors.
• Resolve payroll-related issues and ensure compliance with internal procedures and established processes.
• Provide support on compensation, benefits and payroll tax-related processes.
• Participate in monthly, quarterly and year-end closing activities within the Finance function.
• Support internal, external and statutory audits.
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and payroll process optimization.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Economics, Labour Relations or a related field.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in payroll administration, managing end-to-end payroll processes.
• Strong knowledge of labour legislation, social security requirements and payroll taxation.
• Experience working with payroll management tools and/or financial ERP systems (experience with NetSuite, ADP Workforce Now, ADP Celergo or similar systems is highly valued).
• Experience working in international environments, multinational companies or global finance teams.
• Advanced English level (mandatory), both written and spoken.
• Highly organized, analytical and detail-oriented profile, with the ability to manage confidential information professionally.
• Strong stakeholder management skills and ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.

We offer:

• Temporary contract with the possibility of permanent incorporation.
• Salary around €30,000 gross/year, depending on experience and profile.
• Hybrid working model in Valencia (minimum 2 days per week in the office).
• Flexibility to organize remote and office working days according to team needs and operational requirements.
• Full-time position (40 hours/week).
• Standard working hours from 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., including a lunch break from 2:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m.
