International Service Engineer (f/m/d) Glamox GmbH is an international manufacturer of luminaires & lighting systems for the maritime sector, the wind energy industry and other industrial sectors. The ‘Marine-Offshore-Wind’ division is based in Seevetal and forms part of the Norwegian Glamox Group. The company is one of the world’s leading suppliers of optical helicopter landing aid systems for military vessels and mega-yachts, LED lighting systems for submarines and surface vessels, and lighting systems for the offshore and wind industries. Glamox GmbH undertakes all necessary work and services for international clients, including the development, manufacture, testing and certification of system components, as well as installation, commissioning, maintenance and repair. Role Summary: The International Service Engineer will be responsible for service, commissioning, and support activities across Glamox’s full portfolio of lighting and LMS systems. In addition, the role includes Team Lead responsibility for Field Engineering within the Marine, Offshore & Wind (MOW) division, ensuring alignment, competence development, and execution excellence across field operations. Tasks & Responsibilities: International service, commissioning, and maintenance for lighting and LMS systems across Navy, Commercial Marine, Offshore, and Wind segments, including (but not limited to) HVLAS, ANLS, ASLS, NavLight Systems, and other LMS solutions Act as Team Lead for Field Engineering (Marine Offshore Wind division), supporting coordination, knowledge sharing, and operational quality across the field engineering team Independent planning and execution of: System commissioning and service assignments worldwide System testing and documentation Product and user training for crews and operators Installation of systems, including execution of HAT and SAT procedures Perform maintenance and service activities on installed systems in the after-sales phase Plan and coordinate global service assignments in close collaboration with the Sales organization Provide internal technical support to Sales and Customer Service teams, particularly related to system functionality, troubleshooting, and application questions Act as a technical ambassador for Glamox, ensuring high-quality delivery and customer satisfaction across all segments Qualifications Needed: Several years of relevant professional experience with a technical focus, a technical degree, or a comparable qualification in electrical engineering Proven experience within electrical engineering and/or the shipbuilding, offshore, or renewable (wind) environment Strong technical competence, including the ability to read and understand circuit diagrams Fluency in German and English (written and spoken) High willingness to travel internationally and work across different cultures Strong personal attributes: Service-oriented mindset High level of integrity and reliability Solution-oriented approach Strong organizational and planning skills Team-oriented mindset Ideally, you also have: Experience working with international customers and/or within service engineering Experience with commissioning, PLC controls, and computer/network systems We offer: Future-proof and innovative products and projects in an interesting, international working environment Varied and challenging tasks within a motivated team at a renowned group of companies that is a leading provider of lighting solutions for the global marine and offshore markets Exciting projects involving the technology of ‘tomorrow’ and roles with significant responsibility right from the start With us, you’ll experience a positive working atmosphere characterised by a culture of mutual respect and trust, where we address each other informally, and which is fostered through shared lunch breaks, workshops and company social events Flexible working: state-of-the-art office and production workstations are available, as is the option to work remotely; we enable our employees to achieve a good work-life balance with flexible working hours With in-house and external training opportunities, you’ll keep developing with us, learn new things and refine your knowledge and skills We take health care seriously, e.g. through company health check-ups, sport and exercise, supplementary health insurance, subsidised Wellpass membership, fresh fruit and the option to lease a company bicycle We also encourage individual initiative as well as teamwork and team-building Do you think the job description and qualifications match your profile?
