Role Description This is a full-time remote role for an Interpreter at LanguageBees. The Interpreter will facilitate clear and accurate communication between parties speaking different languages during virtual calls and online meetings, including medical, legal, and business contexts. Daily tasks include listening and comprehending spoken language, rendering messages faithfully into the target language, and maintaining confidentiality and impartiality at all times. The role also involves preparing for assignments by reviewing terminology, following client-specific protocols, and documenting sessions where required. The Interpreter will collaborate with supervisors and quality teams, participate in periodic training, and use designated software tools and call center platforms to deliver consistent, high-quality service.
Qualifications

• Strong language proficiency: native or near-native fluency in at least two languages, with excellent grammar, vocabulary, and comprehension in both.
• Professional interpreting capabilities: proven experience in consecutive or simultaneous interpretation, with the ability to convey meaning accurately and neutrally.
• Sector-specific knowledge: familiarity with medical and/or legal terminology and procedures, or willingness to learn and apply domain-specific language.
• Technical readiness: comfort using remote communication tools, call center platforms, headsets, and secure systems in a home office environment.
• Customer service skills: ability to remain calm under pressure, demonstrate empathy and respect, and manage diverse callers with professionalism.
• Attention to detail and ethics: strong focus on accuracy, confidentiality, adherence to codes of conduct, and reliable time management.
• Education and experience: relevant training or certification in interpretation or translation, and prior experience in remote or call center settings is preferred.
• Availability and flexibility: capacity to work full-time remote shifts, including evenings or weekends if required by client demand.
