About You: The Inventory Accounting Specialist (Contract) will support the Inventory Accounting team at Nutrafol with a focus on contract manufacturing reporting, inventory movement and reconciliation, production and build assembly activity, and prepaid supplier invoicing and statement reconciliation. This role plays a hands-on part in ensuring inventory transactions are accurately entered, reconciled, and reflected in financial reporting. You will work closely with Finance, Operations, and Supply Chain teams to support day-to-day inventory accounting, reconciliation, and process integrity. This is an execution-focused role suited for someone comfortable working in an evolving environment where priorities may shift and structure is still being finalized. This position is designed to provide immediate operational relief to a lean team and requires flexibility, strong judgment, and the ability to independently solve problems as they arise. The role is a W-2 contract role - hourly rate is $45-50/hr; 40 hours a week. Responsibilities: Enter and reconcile contract manufacturing activity within the reporting system, ensuring accuracy of production runs, cost details, and supporting documentation Process product receipts based on vendor reporting related to production order completions at contract manufacturers Track and analyze inventory movements (receipts, transfers, consumption, adjustments) and ensure proper financial recognition in accordance with accounting standards Support production activities and build assembly transactions, ensuring Bills of Materials (BOMs) and component consumption are accurately reflected Process prepaid supplier invoices and purchase orders, and perform regular vendor statement reconciliations to ensure balances are accurate and current Identify inventory and reconciliation discrepancies, investigate root causes, and recommend or implement corrective actions Partner cross-functionally with Finance, Operations, and Supply Chain teams to ensure inventory data accuracy and alignment Provide general inventory accounting support and ad hoc analysis as needed Assist with testing, troubleshooting, and process improvement efforts related to inventory and reconciliation workflows Experience utilizing and navigating D365 and Exflow Requirements: 5+ years inventory accounting experience within a manufacturing environment Experience with contract manufacturing reporting, data entry, and reconciliation to a reporting/ERP system Strong comprehension of inventory movements/flows and their corresponding financial recognition (e.g., COGS, WIP, finished goods) Understanding and hands-on application of production activities and build assemblies, including Bills of Materials (BOMs) Experience with prepaid supplier invoicing, purchase orders, and vendor statement reconciliation High proficiency in Excel and working with large datasets, reconciliations, and data extracts Ability to work independently in ambiguous, fast-changing environments Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills Clear written and verbal communication skills and the ability to work effectively across teams Please note that while contractors are not eligible for benefits, the benefits and perks listed below are intended to provide a snapshot of Nutrafol as an employer and are available to benefits-eligible Nutrafol employees only.
