Role Description The Investment Analyst role at BDS Hubs is a part-time, remote position focused on supporting entrepreneurs and SMEs with investment-related insights and recommendations. On a day-to-day basis, the Investment Analyst will evaluate business plans, conduct financial and market analysis, and assess investment opportunities relevant to MSMEs and startup projects. The role involves developing and reviewing investment strategies, preparing concise reports and presentations, and advising internal teams and clients on investment risks and expected returns. The Investment Analyst will collaborate with business development advisors to align investment recommendations with each client’s financial capabilities, growth objectives, and funding options, while maintaining accurate documentation and up-to-date industry knowledge.

Qualifications

• Candidates should possess strong analytical skills, including financial modeling, data interpretation, and quantitative analysis.
• Candidates should possess solid knowledge of investments and finance, including capital markets, corporate finance fundamentals, and SME financing structures.
• Candidates should possess experience with investment strategies and investment management, such as portfolio analysis, risk assessment, and return optimization.
• Candidates should possess proficiency in using spreadsheets and financial analysis tools, and be comfortable working with financial statements and projections.
• Candidates should possess effective communication skills, with the ability to explain complex investment concepts clearly to non-specialist audiences.
• Candidates should possess strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple remote assignments on a part-time schedule.
• Relevant academic background in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field is preferred; professional certifications (e.g., CFA level coursework) are an advantage.
• Prior experience working with SMEs, startups, or in a banking or investment environment is beneficial.
