Investment Manager

About the role As an Investment Manager, you will play an important role in delivering high-quality investment management services to private clients and intermediary partners. Working within the Private Asset Management (PAM) team, you will contribute to the management and ongoing development of our actively managed M ulti-asset solutions, supporting investment decisions across fund selection , asset allocation, risk management, and client reporting. You will also help drive the continuous improvement of PAM processes and investment capabilities, ensuring an efficient and robust operating environment. The role requires close collaboration with Financial Planners and other internal stakeholders, alongside maintaining strong relationships with existing clients to deliver an exceptional client experience. Key responsibilities : Part of a focused team which are responsible for the management of PAM Active solutions within their established risk profiles. To contribute to the broader success of PAM, by sharing ideas and working collaboratively across the different investment teams . U ndertake due diligence on existing and prospective fund allocations, including leading manager meetings, analysis, and documentation of key findings. Contributing to Active portfolio construction across a range of asset classes, as well as to the portfolio holistically. Identifying and implementing opportunities to enhance the effectiveness and efficiency of the investment process. Actively participating in weekly , monthly & quarterly investment meetings, contributing insights, preparing material and supporting decision-making. Supporting the acquisition of new clients and their contribution to the continued growth of assets under management. Assisting with colleagues’ development across the Investment teams by fostering a collaborative environment . Enhancing the firm’s reputation and position within the community by developing a professional presence and participating in industry & community activities to support the firm. Building and maintaining effective working relationships with both internal stakeholders across Progeny’s advisory and compliance services and external stakeholders, including fund houses and regulatory advisors. Support Progeny’s marketing efforts by participating in events such as networking, seminars, and media work , and by workin g collaboratively with the Investment Marketing Specialist in the production of high-quality marketing material. Complying with the Financial Services and Market Act 2000, the FCA’s Statements of Principle and & Code of Practice and relevant rules from the FCA at all times . Understand their obligation to Continual Professional Development (CPD) and must adhere to the Financial Conduct Authority’s (FCA) Statements of Principle and Code of Practice for Approved Persons (APER) , and fit and proper requirements as detailed in the FCA handbook , in order to maintain their annual Statement of Professional Standing. What success looks like Strong portfolio performance aligned with the respective risk profiles. Increasing assets under management (AUM) . High levels of client retention and satisfaction with established relationships and effective communication . A meaningful impact on the evolution of the active investment process. Our ideal person Holds a Level 7 CISI qualification or equivalent. Previous experience in a similar role with an asset management firm (essential). A comprehensive knowledge of investments and stock markets . Good knowledge and understanding of FCA conduct of business rules and suitability requirements. Proven ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment, while ensuring accuracy and attention to detail. Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to build trust, foster positive relationships, and foster engagement. Strong analytical and research s kills . Actively seeks to enhance their own expertise and knowledge.
