ABOUT IMPACTASSETS CAPITAL PARTNERS ImpactAssets Capital Partners is a SEC registered investment adviser that is owned by ImpactAssets Inc., a $5B nonprofit impact investing leader founded in 2010. Over the years, ImpactAssets has built an extensive impact investment platform, having invested in 1500+ private companies and impact funds addressing the world’s greatest challenges. ImpactAssets Capital Partners was created in 2022 to bring the ImpactAssets platform and customized investment services to institutional investors. ImpactAssets Capital Partners provides institutional clients with investment advice for public and private investments, such as venture capital, private equity and private debt, which are the most complex and expensive areas of investing for an organization to manage on their own. We offer strategy, sourcing, due diligence and investment advice to the stewards of large impact investment portfolios. ImpactAssets and ImpactAssets Capital Partners together are catalyzing investment capital into mission-driven business models solving the worlds’ biggest challenges. The result? A fast growing, dynamic organization with an activated community of more than 1,800 clients. This level of growth, vision and commitment equals great opportunities to grow a career at ImpactAssets Capital Partners. We are seeking a wide range of colleagues that share our urgency and audacity for driving outsized capital to impact investing. If you dream big, have a track record for solving problems and know how to ‘get stuff done’, this is the place for you! The Opportunity The Investment Strategist is responsible for leading client engagement for key clients throughout the arc of the relationship, from closing prospects to quarterbacking the ongoing client touchpoints. The Investment Strategist will bring public and private market fluency and expertise to contextualize investment performance, translate market dynamics, and guide sophisticated clients toward greater activation of their impact investing goals. This is not a research or due diligence role. It is a client-facing strategist role requiring the judgment and expertise to build investment portfolios and deliver services that are right for each client. The position is full time and reports to the Managing Director, Investment Strategy. Our team offers a flexible work environment, operating primarily in a remote environment, but coming together periodically throughout the year for in person meetings and offsites, so travel 2-3x per year is required. This is a US-based role, time zone requirements are flexible across US mainland time zones. Key Responsibilities Client Engagement, Investment Strategy and Portfolio Construction Serve as a primary day‑to‑day contact for an assigned group of clients (family offices, foundations, and corporates), ensuring timely responses, clear next steps, and consistently high service standards. Work with the MD of Investment Strategy, DCIO and the broader Investments Team to design appropriate impact and investment strategies for Custom Portfolio clients, typically foundations, large family offices and corporations. Work with Custom Portfolio clients to articulate portfolio goals and objectives, design an impact investing strategy, coordinate the portfolio implementation work, and design/implement bespoke impact and investment reporting. Partner with clients to draft and finalize their Investment Policy Statement (IPS), translating client goals, constraints, and impact priorities into clear investment guidelines and mandate language. Build and lead the engagement plan that operationalizes the IPS — sequencing implementation milestones, reporting cadence, and touchpoints needed to deliver on the mandate over time. Partner with MD of Investment Strategy and DCIO to ensure investments proposed to client are an appropriate fit based on stated objectives and parameters. Quarterback preparation for each of the bespoke periodic meetings, ensuring a high level of professionalism and client service excellence. Lead client meetings, calling on teammates to bring in a deep level of knowledge when needed on specific investments, impact areas, investment types. Maintain accurate CRM records (profiles, meeting notes, tasks, next actions) and support team‑level reporting. Oversee the development of any custom reporting requested by the client and work with the reporting team to ensure any non-standard reporting meets our quality standards and client expectations. Identify process and service improvements that enhance client onboarding efficiency, client communications, and internal handoffs. Prospective Client Engagement Partner with the Business Development team during the final stages of the prospect journey, contribute to the closing process as prospective clients move toward a decision. Cultivate strategic relationships with key prospects and ensure a seamless transition from BD-led outreach. Contribute to the continual refinement of the client engagement process, particularly around the BD-to-Strategist hand-off, helping to define and improve how the firm moves prospects efficiently and effectively toward close. Support BD in leading prospects through the final stages of due diligence on IA Capital, ensuring meetings occur on a regular cadence, that follow-up items are addressed by the right team members, and that the data room is responsive to client questions and concerns. Support client onboarding from signed engagement through full activation (documentation collection, digital tools access, and portfolio/account setup) in close partnership with teammates and BD colleagues. Skills, Knowledge and Expertise Required Education and Experience 10+ years of relevant experience in impact investing, wealth management, investment management, portfolio management, or consulting At least 4-5 years in a direct investment role (e.g., analyst, associate, portfolio manager, or underwriter) evaluating and/or managing private markets or impact investments Demonstrated experience in portfolio construction, asset allocation, and manager/fund due diligence; ability to independently assess fund manager track records, investment theses, and risk/return profiles Demonstrated success managing sophisticated stakeholder relationships coordinating multi‑party deliverables and driving follow‑through MBA or similar advanced degree in finance, business, accounting, economics, or related field preferred CFA, CAIA, or equivalent investment credential a plus Knowledge and Skills Working knowledge across multiple asset classes (public markets, private equity, private credit, real assets) preferred Strong financial modeling and quantitative analysis skills, including comfort evaluating IRR, MOIC, cash flow projections, and other private markets performance metrics Familiarity with impact measurement frameworks (e.g., IRIS+, SDGs, or similar) and ability to translate impact goals into measurable investment criteria Exceptional attention to detail; reliably coordinates meetings, agendas, materials, and follow‑ups across multiple concurrent client workstreams Excellent written and verbal communication skills Expert knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
