What you’ll do The IoT Presales & Architect takes the consultative lead for technical design and delivery of Vodafone’s managed connectivity IoT solutions to customers within Greece and the broader Southern European sales region. As IoT Presales & Architect, you will be in charge of consulting enterprise customers in the design of connectivity solutions for many different applications and industries. You will bring in your presales & technical expertise; understanding of the business environment the customer and Vodafone operate in, and propose solutions based on Vodafone’s managed connectivity and IoT solution portfolio. You will drive the solution from a consultative stage through implementation and deployment. This is a customer-facing role and you will be required to travel to customer sites. • Work closely with regional Country Manager and Sales Team in pre-sale activities and qualification of sales leads • Act as a “technology consultant” to Vodafone’s Enterprise customers. Advise, propose and design solutions in line with customer needs, requirements and expectations. • Assess technical solution complexity and deliverability within Vodafone’s IoT platforms as well as network capability both at a Global and regional level • Lead presentation of IoT solution designs and workshops based on Vodafone’s IoT solution catalogue, clearly highlighting differentiators of Vodafone against competitors from a product and technical perspective • Support the sales process from qualification stages, through RFP / bid and contract sign-up, all the way to implementation, deployment and successful acceptance testing and sign-off • Able to produce clear and succinct RFI / RFP answers for winning bid responses • Support customers during deployments, testing, in-life during new feature deployments, and manage technical change requests • Liaise with internal delivery teams or technology partners driving solution design and testing through to completion • Meet the customer when and where needed – 40% travel within Greece and occasionally Europe Who you are Essential • Educated to BSc or MSc or an IT/EE (or equivalent) • Excellent Greek and English, both oral and written • Knowledge of mobile network architectures with an understanding of specific aspects for IoT applications • Knowledge of data communication, network, software application and IT technologies. • Previous experience in customer facing, ideally presales roles in enterprise / business environments • Customer relationship management skills with ability to interact comfortably up to Senior level • Pro-active driven, can-do attitude • Strong communication and decision making skills – ability to balance conflicting interests • Strong commercial management skills including contractual and commercial negotiation experience as technical lead • Team player, strong influence and relationship management skills Desired • Prior Experience in pre-sales role • Knowledge of the broader IoT market and technology landscape • Experience with IoT devices and applications • Experience in system integrator company or a multinational mobile network operator advantageous • Understanding of RESTful and SOAP-based web services concepts, eSIM SGP technologies, satellite connectivity • Additional language advantageous Spanish, Italian, Portuguese) Not a perfect fit?
