What You'll do: - Participate in the design and evolution of the IP network architecture, including routing (IGP/BGP), MPLS, Segment Routing, EVPN, QoS, multicast, and traffic engineering. - Design, develop, and maintain automation solutions for provisioning, configuration, and lifecycle management of IP/MPLS network equipment (core, aggregation, edge, and peering routers). - Implement and support CI/CD and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) pipelines for network changes, including automated validation, pre-deployment testing (dry-runs and virtual labs), and rollback mechanisms. - Develop and implement network telemetry and observability solutions using technologies such as streaming telemetry, gNMI/gRPC, and SNMP, supporting monitoring and capacity planning initiatives. - Support operations in the resolution of complex network incidents and root cause analysis. - Produce and maintain technical documentation, configuration standards, and automation best practices. - Mentor junior engineers and promote the adoption of NetDevOps methodologies and automation practices within the organization. - Collaborate with vendors and internal teams to evaluate emerging technologies and conduct proof-of-concept initiatives. - Contribute to the transformation of the network towards a highly automated, scalable, reliable, and software-driven architecture. Who You Are: - Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Telecommunications, or a related field (or equivalent professional experience). - 8+ years of experience in IP network engineering, including at least 5 years within a telecommunications service provider environment. - 3+ years of hands-on experience delivering network automation projects in production environments. - Proven experience in network transformation initiatives such as core/edge migrations and the introduction of Segment Routing and EVPN technologies. - Advanced knowledge of routing and transport technologies, including BGP, OSPF, IS-IS, MPLS (LDP), Segment Routing (SR-MPLS/SRv6), L2/L3 VPNs, EVPN, multicast, and QoS. - Strong understanding of service provider network architectures, including core/backbone, aggregation, peering, international transit, CGNAT, IPv6, and transition mechanisms. - Experience working with multi-vendor service provider platforms, such as Cisco IOS-XR, Nokia SR-OS, and Juniper Junos. - Solid knowledge of network security concepts, including control plane protection, RPKI, DDoS mitigation, and uRPF. - Advanced Python skills applied to network automation, along with software engineering best practices such as Git, testing, and code reviews. - Hands-on experience with Ansible, YANG data models, and network programmability technologies such as NETCONF, RESTCONF, and gNMI. - Experience implementing CI/CD pipelines (GitLab, GitHub) for network operations and validation environments such as Containerlab and GNS3. - Familiarity with observability and monitoring platforms, including streaming telemetry, Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, or equivalent solutions. - Passionate about automation, continuous improvement, and driving modern NetDevOps practices in large-scale network environments.
