Job Description Contract Role: Istio Engineer Contract Location: Central London, office based 3 days per week, the rest remote Contract Start: ASAP Contract Duration: Full time role (Monday to Friday) to the January 2027 initially (inside IR35) Payroll provider – Rockford Payroll Info for Contingent Workers – Rockford Pay Contract Opportunity: Istio Engineer Deloitte are looking for a skilled Istio Engineer to join our team for an exciting greenfield project involving the deployment of Istio Service Mesh within a dynamic microservices environment hosted on AWS Key Responsibilities: Architect, implement, and optimise Istio Service Mesh networking and control plane capabilities Ensure secure, scalable, and resilient service-to-service communication across microservices. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate Istio seamlessly into the AWS-hosted infrastructure. Drive best practices for service mesh deployment, monitoring, and troubleshooting.
