Brief role description:
As an IT Product Owner I, you are responsible for steering the design and further development of digital products. You ensure that development aligns with business strategy and meets user needs. You consolidate input from stakeholders, customers, and the market to shape product features and communicate a clear vision to the development team. You prioritize tasks based on value and make decisions that align technical possibilities with business goals. This role can have significantly more experience and/or tasks/responsibilities than the base role.
Responsibilities:
- Be a role model of Agile working and innovation.
- Assure the agile rituals work productively.
- Prioritise the roadmap while preparing new features for development together with your agile team aligned with the VW Business partners.
- Present new developments to your colleagues and stakeholders, including creative ways to teach the teams about the use and functionalities of new features.
- Help to create a great atmosphere and strong connection within your team.
- Inspire your team as much as your stakeholders and make sure everybody is aware of the vision and roadmap.
- Play your part in creating a strong feedback culture where everybody feels enabled to provide each other with honest feedback and input
- Collect requirements, perform user research and analyse market needs to create a roadmap and well prepared backlog. Prioritisation of the backlog together with business and maintaining the backlog.
- Act as a bridge between business and development, ensuring that business needs are clearly understood and translated into actionable requirements
- Support and back up arguments with data and metrics.
- Work with KPIs and OKRs.
- Proactively use monitoring tools for specific use cases, act on failures and make sure that all impacted stakeholders are informed in a timely and transparent manner.
Requirements:
- Minimum 2 years of experience as a PO or PM.
- Experience shipping successful products, including defining vision, strategy, outcome-driven product roadmaps and creating and managing backlogs.
- Experience working in an Agile environment and scrum methodology (SAFe is a plus)
- Experience articulating and testing product hypotheses.
- Demonstrated ability to influence decision making in different contexts.
- Skilled at defining and prioritising product features.
- Experience collaborating closely with engineers, designers, and business departments.
- Fluent English and German speaker.
