Job Summary

Exactus Energy is looking for an IT Specialist to work as part of our Software & IT team. This role will be fully remote, so access to high-speed internet is required. The ability to work independently while coordinating with other team members in a consultative manner will be important in ensuring success in this role. Our ideal candidate is adaptive and able to grow with our company.

This position is a work-from-home position, and the candidate will be expected to work during Eastern Time business hours (9 am to 5:30 pm Eastern Time).

The ideal candidate will be expected to provide their own workstation and high-speed internet connection. Please note, professional written and verbal English proficiency is a requirement for this position.

Responsibilities

• Interact with non-technical teams to provide technical support; investigate and provide solutions for reported technical issues
• Create and manage cloud infrastructure used for VDI, file storage servers, application servers, and other use cases as required.
• Create/Maintain a database of hardware (specs, locations, status, etc.)
• CRM Support

1. Providing L1 and L2 Support for CRM issues.
2. User Management for CRMs - new user creation/deletion process, access management, etc.
3. License Management - add/revoke/request new licenses.
4. Security Management - Manage permissions, security roles, alerts, Multi-factor authentication process, etc.
5. Monitoring the CRM environment for performance and security-related issues.

• Handle end-to-end procurement activities for the organization.

1. Sourcing vendors for hardware & software in multiple countries.
2. Purchasing hardware online and managing shipping to team members.
3. Housing hardware in situations where a team member leaves the organization and ships their hardware for temporary storage.

• Work with developers and IT staff to support the development of internal tools, methods, standards, and processes to streamline workflows and improve efficiency
• Proactively address issues related to processes or products used internally
• Various research projects as required

Requirements

• 2-4 years of experience working with, creating, managing, and maintaining IT systems.
• Experience with hardware and software procurement activities.
• Fluency in English is required.
• Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to clearly explain technical ideas to a wide audience. Strong familiarity with technical problem-solving and IT systems.
• Strong organizational, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills.
• Able to work in a fast-paced environment, both independently and in a team.

Experience with any of the following is considered an asset:

• Azure, Google Cloud Platform, or other cloud providers
• Managing Windows-based virtualization infrastructure
• RMM tools such as Pulseway, Atera, Connectwise etc.
• Technical customer support

Experience with CAD software is considered a strong asset.
