T Support, Maintenance & Operations Engineer (Level 2)

About the Role:

We are looking for an experienced Level 2 IT Support Engineer to support mission-critical IT and operational technology environments within international airports.

You will provide technical support, troubleshooting, maintenance and operational assistance for systems supporting passenger and baggage-flow operations.

The role combines application and infrastructure support, incident management, maintenance, testing and customer interaction. You will work closely with Level 1/3 Support, Development, DevOps, project teams, suppliers and airport customers.

Key Responsibilities:

• Own Level 2 incidents and service requests from investigation through to resolution and closure.
• Troubleshoot complex issues across applications, infrastructure, operating systems, networks, databases and integrations.
• Analyse logs, monitoring data and system behaviour to identify root causes and restore services.
• Provide remote and on-site technical support at airport environments.
• Perform planned preventive and corrective maintenance.
• Support deployments, commissioning, testing, validation and post-change verification.
• Reproduce defects and work with Development and DevOps teams to validate fixes.
• Produce clear technical analysis, incident reports and customer updates.
• Maintain knowledge articles, troubleshooting guides, SOPs and technical documentation.
• Identify opportunities to improve monitoring, automation, tooling and support processes.
• Collaborate with customers, suppliers and internal technical teams during incidents and maintenance activities.
• Participate in an agreed on-call rotation.

Required Experience & Skills:

• 3+ years of Level 2 IT support or equivalent experience in a business-critical environment.
• Strong troubleshooting experience across Windows and/or Linux, networks, applications, databases and distributed systems.
• Experience working within an ITIL-aligned support environment.
• Experience with incident, problem, change and knowledge management.
• Strong technical documentation and communication skills.
• Fluent English; French and/or Dutch advantageous.
• Willingness to travel to customer and airport sites.
• Valid Category B driving licence.
• Ability to obtain and maintain required airport security clearances and access authorisations.
• Willingness to participate in an agreed and compensated on-call rotation.
