IT Support Technician - Data Technician (Entry Level)

2. About the Opportunity:

The IT Support Technician - Data Technician (Entry Level) role is designed for motivated individuals to support and maintain database systems under supervision. This position contributes to the organization’s data management capabilities by assisting with database maintenance, performance monitoring, and security. The role is integral to ensuring data systems meet organizational needs and supports operational efficiency.

3. Responsibilities:

• Maintain and implement complex databases as part of a team under guidance

• Assist in planning and engineering databases

• Monitor database performance, scalability, and security

• Evaluate and update existing database designs

• Develop SQL queries and reports under supervision

• Participate in team-oriented, collaborative, agile workflows

• Manage multi-discipline triage calls with self-motivation

• Work with database partitioning and microservices

• Support cloud-native database solutions including AWS RDS and DynamoDB

4. Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent; associate degree or technical certification preferred

• Basic computer, software, and business systems proficiency

• Ability to follow instructions and established procedures accurately

• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry

• Clear communication and interpersonal skills for customer interactions

• Ability to work under supervision and escalate issues appropriately

• Experience or familiarity with Software Development Lifecycle in a collaborative environment

• Experience with tools such as ServiceNow, GitHub, and Jira preferred

• Prior experience in related functional areas is desirable

• Willingness to undergo security investigation for access to classified information

5. Pay Range and Compensation Package:

• Salary of $33,500 per year
