Role Description The Japanese IT Communicator is a full-time, hybrid role based in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam, with some flexibility for working from home. This role focuses on bridging communication between Japanese-speaking clients or partners and the internal technical teams, ensuring accurate understanding of requirements, specifications, and project updates. Day-to-day tasks include interpreting between Japanese and Vietnamese in meetings and technical materials.

The Japanese IT Communicator will support project coordination, clarify technical information for non-technical stakeholders, and assist in preparing reports, proposals, and documentation. The role also involves collaborating closely with project managers and engineers to resolve issues promptly and maintain smooth communication across cultures.

Qualifications

• At least 2+ years of experience as an IT Communicator / IT Interpreter
• Excellent spoken Japanese (business level or above) because around 50% or more of your work involves spoken communication and meeting interpretation
• Confident interpreting in live meetings with Japanese clients
• Able to understand technical discussions and communicate naturally in an IT environment
• Familiar with software development terminology and project workflows
• Good listening, logical thinking, and communication skills
• Responsible, proactive, and willing to learn

Nice to have

• Experience in requirement analysis or using AI tools to improve work efficiency

Salary & Benefits

• Salary: 1,000–1,500 USD (depending on Japanese communication skills and IT experience)
