Japanese Language & Cultural AI Evaluator | $80-$120/hr

Hirely is recruiting qualified candidates on behalf of one of our hiring partners for a remote Japanese Language & Cultural AI Evaluator opportunity supporting advanced AI research and evaluation projects.

About the Role:

We are looking for experienced professionals with strong expertise in Japanese language, communication, and cultural fluency to evaluate AI-generated work products. You will apply your language and cultural expertise to review documents, spreadsheets, and presentations for accuracy, cultural appropriateness, linguistic quality, reasoning, and overall presentation quality. This is an expert evaluation role focused on professional judgment and detailed feedback.

What You'll Do:

• Evaluate AI-generated documents, spreadsheets, and presentations involving Japanese language and cultural contexts
• Assess linguistic accuracy, cultural appropriateness, nuance, and overall quality
• Identify factual, linguistic, cultural, aesthetic, and presentation errors
• Evaluate whether AI-generated content demonstrates appropriate Japanese language and cultural understanding
• Apply structured evaluation rubrics consistently and objectively
• Provide clear, detailed, and well-supported written feedback
• Review the quality and usability of professional work products

Minimum Qualifications:

• High attention to detail and consistency
• Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office and Google Workspace
• Experience using PowerPoint or Google Slides

Nice to Have:

• Master's degree or higher from a reputable institution
• Experience in translation, localization, linguistics, or cultural consulting
• Experience reviewing or editing professional Japanese-language content
• Experience working in bilingual or international environments
• Previous experience with AI evaluation, language quality assessment, or data annotation

Compensation & Commitment:

• $80-$120/hour
• Fully remote
