About The Role

The Associate Architect - Java at Quantiphi is a pivotal role responsible for leading the design, development, and modernization of enterprise Java applications. This position requires a highly skilled professional with a strong background in Java application architecture, cloud integration, and modern development practices. The candidate will engage closely with clients to understand project requirements, provide technical consultation, and oversee the implementation of high-quality software solutions. The role also involves mentoring team members, ensuring adherence to best practices, and staying updated with the latest industry trends to continually improve service standards. This is an excellent opportunity for a seasoned Java professional to contribute to large-scale enterprise projects, work with cutting-edge technologies, and grow within a dynamic and innovative environment.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate should possess a minimum of 7-12 years of experience in enterprise software development, particularly with Java technologies. A strong understanding of Java application modernization, including upgrading legacy systems to newer Java LTS versions (Java 17/21/25), is essential. Candidates should have hands-on experience with J2EE, Spring Boot, and API development, including REST and SOAP services. Proficiency in cloud architecture, especially AWS, and experience with AWS services, CLI, and SDKs are highly desirable. Knowledge of database systems, both SQL and NoSQL, is required. Additionally, familiarity with tools such as Git, Maven, and JFrog, along with expertise in automated build and deployment pipelines, is necessary. The candidate should demonstrate excellent problem-solving skills, a solid understanding of object-oriented programming principles, and experience working within Agile development frameworks. A background in Angular, TypeScript, and API integration will be considered advantageous.

Responsibilities

The Associate Architect will be responsible for engaging with clients for project briefing, technical consultation, and project closure reviews. They will support the design, development, enhancement, and modernization of enterprise Java applications, ensuring solutions meet client expectations and quality standards. The role includes managing customer demands, negotiating technical specifications, and creating comprehensive technical documentation. Supervision of activities between internal teams and external resources is crucial to facilitate smooth workflow and timely delivery. The candidate will evaluate project data for accuracy, set project targets, and prioritize tasks effectively. Providing mentorship and training to team members to enhance their technical skills is a key aspect of the role. Staying current with industry best practices, emerging technologies, and trends is vital to continuously improve service delivery. The Associate Architect will review customer demands and instructions, assist in identifying optimal methods for maintaining and utilizing delivered materials, and ensure APIs are robust, maintainable, and scalable. They will also carry out research on new trends and technologies, contributing to the development of innovative solutions. Additional responsibilities include troubleshooting development and production issues, executing code modernization using tools like AWS Transform Custom (ATX), and collaborating across teams to ensure seamless integration and deployment of solutions.
