Overview Our team is growing, and we are seeking a seasoned Java Developer to join our team and help build high-quality casino gaming products and supporting platforms.You will design, develop, and maintain robust, scalable, and reliable Java-based applications and services that support authentic IGT gaming experiences. You will work closely with engineers, architects, product teams, and other stakeholders to deliver solutions that meet high standards for performance, maintainability, security, and quality.If you are passionate about software engineering, enjoy solving complex technical challenges, and want to contribute to high-quality gaming products as part of an experienced and collaborative team, we want to talk with you! What You'll Do • Design, develop, test, and maintain high-quality Java applications and services • Develop scalable and maintainable backend components and APIs • Apply Object-Oriented Programming principles, design patterns, and clean coding practices • Participate in architectural and technical design discussions • Analyze requirements and translate them into effective technical solutions • Write automated unit, integration, and functional tests • Troubleshoot complex application, performance, and production issues • Perform code reviews and contribute to engineering standards and best practices • Collaborate with cross-functional and geographically distributed teams • Mentor less experienced engineers and provide technical guidance when needed • Continuously improve application architecture, development processes, and engineering quality About You 8+ years of software development experience Computer Science Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience Strong proficiency in Java Strong understanding of Object-Oriented Programming, SOLID principles, components, and software design patterns Strong knowledge of data structures, algorithms, and software engineering fundamentals Experience designing and developing enterprise-grade or highly scalable applications Experience developing RESTful APIs and service-oriented applications Strong understanding of concurrency, multithreading, and application performance Experience with relational databases and SQL Solid experience with distributed version control systems such as Git Solid experience with automated testing and TDD / BDD methodologies Experience diagnosing and resolving complex software issues Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a collaborative engineering team What We'd Prefer Experience with Spring / Spring Boot Experience with microservices and distributed systems Familiarity with messaging technologies such as Kafka, RabbitMQ, or similar platforms Experience with Hibernate, JPA, or other persistence frameworks Familiarity with Docker, Kubernetes, and containerized application environments Experience with CI/CD pipelines and modern DevOps practices Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Experience with observability and monitoring tools Experience working on gaming, transaction-processing, or other high-performance systems Knowledge of functional programming concepts and modern Java features Experience working in Agile software development environments Benefits and Culture Vibrant and stimulating work environment within Class-A office space.
