Experience with JDBC, messaging middleware and REST APIs. Able to review other colleagues’ code. Willing to deliver not just application changes, but also design and implement test automation. The aim is not to rely on manual testing. Their English needs to be fluent enough to be able to participate in phone / Teams calls without issues. Other: Experience with deploying applications into Kubernetes, Openshift or other cloud is a plus. Linux scripting experience is a plus. Experience with the domain – FX trading and SWIFT payments is a plus. About the project: It is not a green field project, the application has been around for about five years. New features are being developed continuously, it is not a maintenance role. The domain is FX and international payments. The application is used internally and by Barclays’ B2B clients (not end-users). The application is developed in Prague, but we work with teams both in London and Pune.
