Senior Java Consultant (M/F) Your mission Are you passionate about software engineering, application modernization, and technical excellence? This role is for you. As a Senior Java Consultant, you will strengthen our internal development teams and take full ownership of the operational management and modernization of multiple business applications. You’ll be responsible for ensuring the stability, evolution, and re-engineering of critical systems in a dynamic, multi-technology environment. On the build side: Develop and maintain business applications and related web services. Participate in the design and implementation of architecture components in collaboration with technical leads and software architects. Re-engineer or rewrite existing applications to align with modern development standards and best practices. Design and implement reusable components following microservice or CQRS patterns. Ensure integration with other enterprise systems through APIs and SOA principles. On the run side: Take over existing applications (documentation review, maintenance, bug fixing, performance optimization). Contribute to testing, deployment, and continuous integration (JUnit, Spring, Mockito, Cypress, GitLab CI). Support release management and troubleshooting of production issues. Participate in Scrum ceremonies and collaborate closely with users and business teams. Maintain technical documentation and ensure knowledge sharing within the team. Your profile You are a seasoned Java developer with strong problem-solving skills and a solid background in building and maintaining enterprise-grade applications. You can quickly understand existing codebases and propose improvements to increase robustness and maintainability. Your expertise includes: 5–7 years of professional experience in Java development (Full-stack preferred or Backend with frontend affinity). Strong proficiency with Java (≥ 21), Spring Framework (Core, Data, Security, AOP), and JPA/Hibernate. Solid experience in RESTful APIs, OpenAPI/Swagger, and SOA architectures. Familiarity with Angular (v20) for front-end development. Skilled in Maven, Docker, Kubernetes/OpenShift, Git & GitLab CI, Sonar, and NPM. Good understanding of OAuth 2.0, Flyway or Liquibase, and database systems (PostgreSQL, SQL Server). Experience with Keycloak, Lombok, MapStruct. Knowledge of BPMN, UML, Jira/Confluence. Agile/Scrum experience and test-driven mindset. Your soft skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving mindset. Clear and structured communicator. Customer-oriented and collaborative team player.
