Role Description This part-time remote Java Developer role focuses on designing, implementing, and maintaining backend services that support FLOORCOLLECTION’s digital solutions for the Danish flooring and B2B market. Day-to-day tasks include developing clean, efficient Java code, building and integrating microservices, and working with the Spring Framework to create robust and scalable applications. The Java Developer will collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate business requirements into technical solutions, troubleshoot and resolve software issues, and participate in code reviews to ensure quality and consistency. The role also involves writing technical documentation, optimizing application performance, and contributing to continuous improvement of development processes and tools.
Qualifications

• Candidates should possess strong Java and general Programming skills for backend application development.
• Candidates should possess Software Development skills, including experience with the full development lifecycle and modern development practices.
• Candidates should possess Microservices skills to design, implement, and maintain distributed service-based architectures.
• Candidates should possess Spring Framework skills, such as Spring Boot and related modules, to build scalable and maintainable services.
• Experience with RESTful APIs, relational databases, and version control systems (e.g., Git) is beneficial.
• Ability to work independently in a remote environment, manage part-time hours effectively, and collaborate with distributed teams.
• Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and a focus on writing secure, maintainable code.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
