JavaScript Engineer

Ciklum is looking for a JavaScript Engineer to join our team full-time in Poland. In this role, you will be fully integrated into our partner’s engineering team. You will work alongside Senior and Staff engineers to modernize server-side architecture, scale system integrations, and incorporate AI tools into the software development lifecycle to accelerate delivery. Responsibilities: Collaborative Development: Partner closely with Product, Project, and Quality Engineering teams to deliver stable, high-impact features within an agile environment End-to-End Execution: Implement backend projects from end-to-end writing clean, maintainable code, writing automated tests, and managing application deployment System Modernization: Modernize server-side systems handling identity management, user provisioning, and corporate onboarding workflows Scale & Integrations: Build and maintain cloud services, RESTful APIs, and strategic third-party partner integrations Engineering Quality: Monitor application health in cloud environments, participate in design reviews, and continuously share technical knowledge with the team Requirements: Experience: 4+ years of overall software development experience, with at least 3+ years focused on backend application development Core Tech: Strong hands-on proficiency in Node.js and TypeScript Cloud Infrastructure: Practical experience with AWS (e.g., EC2, ECS, S3) or equivalent hyperscalers Databases: Solid working knowledge of relational databases (e.g., MySQL on RDS Aurora) and caching solutions (e.g., Redis) DevOps & Delivery: Proven ability to build, deploy, test, and monitor cloud applications using CI/CD tools (e.g., GitLab CI) and observability suites (e.g., Datadog, ELK stack) AI Fluency: Comfortable leveraging personal AI coding platforms (e.g., Claude Code, GitHub Copilot) to streamline everyday development tasks and accelerate engineering velocity Communication & Mindset: Strong commitment to application quality and security, with fluent English skills for working in an international team Experience building with AI in product features (e.g., inference orchestration, model evaluation, workflows integration, RAG) Business Focus: Ability to make technical decisions balanced with product needs and business outcomes Desirable: Frontend Knowledge: Experience with React or modern frontend frameworks (helpful for cross-functional collaboration and occasional fullstack tasks) Infrastructure as Code: Experience with Terraform Domain Experience: Background in security, identity management, user provisioning, or corporate onboarding systems Coordination and project leadership skills: Planning and estimating work, communicating progress, managing dependencies Personal skills: Remote & Flexible Culture: Enjoy flexible remote options or join us in our modern offices across Europe Human Connection: Regular team face-to-face workshops and events to collaborate, brainstorm, and bond in person Continuous Growth: A tailored learning path, internal technical meetups, a Udemy license, and company-paid certifications Comprehensive Care: Medical insurance, mental health support programs, and an inclusive work environment Global Impact: Build security solutions that protect digital identities and foster trust online for millions of daily users What’s in it for you?
