【Job description】

The Full Stack Lead Engineer position involves leading the design and development of systems spanning both the front-end and back-end of our products. Beyond implementation, you will lead the team in a wide range of areas, including technical leadership, architectural policy formulation, mentoring, and operational improvements.

Working closely with the Product, Design, AI, and Infrastructure teams, the mission of this position is to deliver a scalable and intuitive customer engagement experience to enterprise customers, including those in Japan.

- Lead the design and development of scalable front-end and back-end systems

- Build and improve customer-facing applications and internal operational tools

- Design robust APIs, back-end services, and platform integrations

- Drive technical decision-making and contribute to system architecture discussions

- Shape product direction and user experience through close collaboration with Product and Design teams

- Continuously improve system reliability, scalability, performance, and operational visibility

- Implement highly maintainable, tested code based on modern engineering practices

- Establish and improve engineering standards, development workflows, and technical processes

- Mentor and support engineers through code reviews and technical guidance

- Troubleshooting and resolving complex production failures in distributed systems

- Cross-functional communication in both Japanese and English

- Take ownership and see projects through to production, from requirements definition to full operation.

【Requirements】

▼Must

- Over 5 years of practical experience as a software engineer

- Experience working with Agile and Scrum development processes

- English: Business level or higher

- Japanese: Conversational level or higher

- Strong full-stack development experience in modern web application development

- Frontend development experience using React, Vue, Next.js, etc.

- Backend development experience using Node.js, Python, Elixir, Ruby, PHP, etc.

- Experience designing scalable APIs and backend systems

- Deep understanding of software architecture, system design, and technical trade-offs

- Experience using relational databases such as PostgreSQL or MySQL

- Development experience with responsibility for operating production environments

- Experience in training engineers or leading technical projects

- Experience using typed languages such as TypeScript and Python type hints

- Experience using gRPC and Protocol Buffers

- Experience with Elixir/Phoenix and functional programming

- Experience developing scalable SaaS platforms

- Understanding of conversational AI and application development utilizing LLM

- Experience designing event-driven architectures and distributed systems

- Experience working closely with infrastructure and DevOps teams

- Experience improving development processes and engineering operations

9:00 AM - 6:00 PM (Includes 1-hour break; overtime work may be required)
