Active backflow prevention assembly tester certification (commonly based on the ASSE 5110 standard), or the ability to obtain one, is required, as fire sprinkler systems include backflow preventers that water authorities require to be tested by a certified tester. Certification requirements vary by state and sometimes by local water authority; confirm current requirements before finalizing a posting. Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record. This is a full-time, field-based role working out of Fargo, ND, with regular travel to job sites in the assigned service area. North Dakota: North Dakota does not currently require a state-issued journeyman fitter license; work must still comply with the applicable local Authority Having Jurisdiction’s permitting and inspection requirements. Licensing rules change and can vary by local jurisdiction; confirm current requirements with the applicable state fire marshal’s office before finalizing a posting.
