Junior Accountant

Job Description

Overview

As a Junior Accountant, you'll be part of a supportive team of both Qualified and Partly-Qualified professionals. You'll manage a diverse portfolio of clients, ranging in size and spanning across various industries, giving you exposure to different business models and the chance to grow your expertise from day one.

Your Responsibilities:

• Process day-to-day financial transactions, including data entry and ledger postings
• Perform bank and account reconciliations
• Assist with the basic preparation of monthly management accounts
• Support the month-end and year-end closing processes
• Maintain accurate and organized financial records and documentation
• Liaise with internal departments to resolve invoice or expense discrepancies
• Assist with VAT returns and other compliance-related tasks, as required
• Take on more complex accounting responsibilities as you gain experience and progress academically

Requirements:

• Either at least 2 ACCA exams, or certifications in Accounting.
• A team player with a can-do and motivated mindset
• Fluency in English, both written and verbal
• Previous experience in a similar role would be considered an asset.
• Willing to relocate to Malta.
