We are adding a Junior AI Implementation Specialist to our team to help with a new project for a German infrastructure firm. This client manages complex physical systems and needs better ways to handle their vast amount of technical documentation and maintenance records. You will be helping us build the tools that allow their staff to use AI to find specific information quickly, ensuring that the technology actually works in a practical, real-world setting. This is a fully remote role where you will focus on the technical implementation of AI features into the software our clients use every day.
About Pixel Systems
Pixel Systems is a small, remote software agency that builds the tools teams actually use. We do not do flashy consumer apps or marketing sites. Instead, we focus on the practical stuff like admin panels, CRM integrations, and the database migrations that people usually try to avoid. Our clients come to us when they need to replace a sprawling spreadsheet with a real database or get their different software tools to finally talk to one another.
We believe that working code is better than a perfect plan that never ships. Our approach is straightforward. We provide fixed quotes before we start, we do weekly demos, and we hand over everything, including the code, the documentation, and even walkthrough videos, when we are finished. We use reliable, well-tested technologies like Node, React, and Postgres because we want the software we build to be stable and easy to maintain. We are a team of developers and designers who prefer solving real operational headaches over chasing the latest trends.
The Role
In this role, you will be working on the ground level of AI implementation. For the German infrastructure project, this means helping us set up data pipelines that take technical manuals and maintenance logs and turn them into a format that AI models can understand. You will be writing the code that connects these models to the client's internal software, testing how the system responds to technical queries, and ensuring the output is accurate and useful for engineers in the field.
Your day-to-day work will involve moving data between systems, cleaning up text so it can be indexed properly, and adjusting how the AI interacts with the specific vocabulary of the infrastructure industry. This is not a research role; it is an engineering and implementation role. You will spend your time making sure the AI tools are reliable, fast, and integrated perfectly with the rest of the application.

- Good written communication skills, which are essential for our remote environment.
- A practical mindset that prioritizes building tools that work over using the most complex solution.
- An interest in how infrastructure and physical systems can be improved with better software.
Helpful Background - Familiarity with JavaScript or Python, even from personal projects or your studies.
- A basic understanding of web technologies like React or Node.js.
- Experience using GitHub for version control and collaborating on code.
- Some knowledge of SQL or how databases like Postgres function.
