Junior Automation Specialist

We are seeking a Junior Automation Specialist to help build and maintain the internal workflows that support our strategic advisory work. In this role, you will specifically support a project for our client that operates a financial services firm. Your focus will be on using technical tools to handle data collection and information flow, making our research processes more efficient. This is a fully remote position that requires a practical mind and an interest in how technology supports commercial decision-support.

What you will do

• Configure simple automation scripts to gather market intelligence and counterparty data from public and specialized sources.
• Create and maintain workflows that move information between research tools and internal databases to keep projects organized.
• Monitor data feeds to ensure senior partners have the most recent information before critical client meetings.
• Help organize and categorize large sets of documents gathered during the research phase of a client engagement.
• Test new software tools to determine if they can help the firm better understand the ground reality in a specific market.
• Standardize how we store and tag information so that it is easily searchable for future investment scenarios.
• Troubleshoot basic technical issues within our remote collaboration environment to prevent delays in work output.
• Document new automated processes clearly so other team members can understand how information is being handled.

What you bring

• A strong interest in how technology can solve business problems rather than just for its own sake.
• Basic familiarity with automation tools, spreadsheet logic, or simple scripting: no advanced computer science degree is required.
