Junior Automation Specialist

Bavarian Capital is expanding its technical capabilities to support a major investment group in Riyadh. We are looking for a Junior Automation Specialist to help build and maintain the digital systems that ensure our data processing and reporting remain accurate and efficient. This role is a key part of our effort to modernize our workflows while maintaining the stability and precision our clients expect.

About the role
The Junior Automation Specialist works as part of our technical operations team to identify manual tasks that can be improved through scripting and software integration. This is an entry level position where you will learn to apply automation tools to real world financial data and investment reporting. Since Bavarian Capital operates as a fully remote firm, you will have the autonomy to manage your daily tasks while maintaining regular communication with colleagues through digital channels. Your focus will be on creating reliability and reducing errors in our day to day operations, ensuring that our data remains a trusted foundation for decision making.

What you will do

• Assist in the design and deployment of basic automation scripts for data entry and information extraction.
• Monitor existing workflows to ensure they are running correctly and address any minor errors that occur during processing.
• Help document new automated processes so that other team members can understand and follow the system logic.
• Coordinate with the data team to understand their manual bottlenecks and suggest technical improvements using automation.
• Test new automation tools in a controlled environment before they are moved into our production systems.
• Update and maintain technical documentation to reflect changes in system logic or data sources over time.
• Participate in regular team review meetings to discuss the performance of our current automation suite.
• Support the transition of legacy spreadsheets into more durable and automated database formats.
• Maintain a high standard of data integrity by performing routine checks on automated outputs.

What we are looking for

• A fundamental understanding of scripting languages like Python or JavaScript gained through academic studies or personal projects.
• Familiarity with basic database structures and the ability to retrieve information using SQL.
