I am Dainius Laukis, and I am looking for a curious and motivated Junior Data Engineer who wants to grow together with us and help build the future of data analytics at ILTE. As a Junior Data Engineer , you will work together with experienced colleagues to build and maintain data solutions, help transform raw data into meaningful information, and contribute to the development of reliable data processes. You will gain hands-on experience with data integration, transformation, data modeling, and quality assurance while learning industry best practices. You will become part of the Data Engineering and Analytics Department . KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: support the development and maintenance of data integrations from different source systems; contribute to building and improving data preparation processes (ETL/ELT), ensuring data quality, stability, and reliability; help transform, clean, and combine data so it can be effectively used for analytics and reporting; participate in implementing data models and understanding how data flows from source systems to business-facing layers; contribute to data quality practices: testing, validation, monitoring, and identifying potential issues; support monitoring of data pipelines and help investigate and resolve data-related incidents; follow and contribute to team standards and best practices: naming conventions, code reviews, documentation, testing principles, and development quality; learn and apply approaches for optimizing data solutions in terms of performance, reliability, and scalability. WE EXPECT THAT YOU: have a strong interest in data engineering and motivation to grow in this field; have experience with SQL and understand relational databases and data structures; have some practical experience with ETL/ELT processes, data integration, or data analytics projects (through work, studies, internships, or personal projects); understand basic data modeling concepts and the role of data warehouses in analytics; are familiar with Python or another programming language used for data processing; have an interest in cloud technologies (experience with GCP or another cloud platform would be an advantage); are willing to learn tools such as Airflow, dbt, or similar data engineering technologies; are proactive, curious, and able to work collaboratively with teammates; communicate clearly and take ownership of your tasks and growth. SALARY: Monthly gross salary: €2,300–€3,500 before taxes . The final offer will depend on your experience, skills, and competencies. Employees may also receive a variable compensation component, the size and payment procedure of which are determined according to ILTE’s employee compensation and performance evaluation policies.
