Job Description
Your responsibilities include:
- Support supplier communication regarding sustainability topics and ESG requirements
- Coordinate the collection and maintenance of supplier sustainability data (e.g. energy consumption, renewable electricity, Product Carbon Footprints (PCF) and other sustainability information
- Support the validation of supplier sustainability data (such as energy data and PCF) in close collaboration with ESG Global team and local R&D team
- Contribute to the implementation and maintenance of supplier data within the corporate Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) software.
- Support supplier sustainability assessments, ESG ratings and corrective action follow-up.
- Assist in preparing sustainability reporting inputs, KPIs and customer sustainability requests.
- Support supplier due diligence activities and maintain related documentation.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of sustainability processes, templates and reporting tools.
- Support of new customer requirements and rising compliance regulations
- Collaborate with international teams across Manufacturing & Sourcing, R&D, Quality and ESG Global
Qualifications
Education
- University or University of Applied Sciences (FH) degree in Sustainability, Environmental Engineering, Lifecycle Engineering, Environmental Sciences, Engineering or a comparable field.
Experience
- First professional experience through internships, student positions or junior roles in sustainability, environmental management, engineering, ESG or consulting is an advantage.
- Experience with sustainability reporting, overall data analysis or project management is considered beneficial.
- Experience with carbon footprint calculation (GHG protocol / ISO 14067) and energy data management is a big advantage
Skills
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Interest in sustainability, product sustainability and decarbonization.
- Affinity for working with technical and environmental data.
- Very good Microsoft Office skills (especially Excel, Word and PowerPoint); Power BI is an advantage.
- Structured, proactive and solution-oriented working style.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate across international teams.
- Very good written and verbal communication skills in German and English
- Willingness to travel occasionally.
