Junior HR Business Partner

In this role, you will partner with one of our Business Units in the market, supporting change management, organizational initiatives, and talent and leadership development. You will play an active role in continuously improving CEG (HR) processes and ways of working, ensuring efficient and high-quality support to the business. You will also participate in cross-functional projects and support organizational change initiatives while helping bring the American Express culture and colleague engagement strategy to life through effective communications and stakeholder collaboration. Providing support linked to talent strategy, succession planning, colleague engagement communications, day-to-day colleague management including managing the sickleave process, acting as prevention officer etc. Designing products, processes, and tools advised by colleague data and insights. Co-creating with business leaders and CEG colleagues to ensure the solutions meet business needs. Delivering on colleague communications, continuous improvement of administrative processes, and identifying opportunities to streamline and simplify ways of working to enhance the colleague experience, operational efficiency, and service delivery. Participate in cross-functional projects, supporting planning, coordination, implementation, and successful delivery of change initiatives. Leading talent efforts to strengthen colleague capabilities, drive business performance, and develop leaders who can lead, run, and sustain change. Actively engaging in organizational effectiveness and change efforts, with strong project management and detailed execution. Coaching leaders and providing developmental feedback, as appropriate. Ensuring a diverse workforce that is representative of our customers and the communities in which we operate. Setting and holding a high bar for performance and enabling leaders to lead their talent against these standards. Establishing proactive partnerships with CEG colleagues across the various markets and COEs to ensure solutions are connected/aligned, and meeting business needs. Minimum 2 years of demonstrated professional HR experience, preferably in an HR generalist, HR advisory or HR Business Partner environment. Ability to build effective relationships and provide consultancy and advice to senior business stakeholders to make valuable contributions and improve services. Business Acumen: Understand our business strategy, plans, and the impact of internal and external factors. Ability to build effective relationships and provide consultancy and advice to senior business stakeholders in a matrix organization. Data and Insights: ability to work with large sets of data with accuracy from multiple sources to develop insights, make decisions, create solutions, and drive continuous improvement. Project Management: Ability to help organize and coordinate CEG functional expertise and the business across various projects and timelines. Experience supporting organizational changes, restructures, and business transformation initiatives through effective planning, coordination, and execution. Critical Thinking: Develop ideas that drive substantial colleague experiences and competitive advantage. Ability and willingness to learn in a fast-paced, unstructured environment with quality and speed. Time management skills and ability to prioritize A global mentality and experiences working in or supporting different countries and cultures. Proficient in Dutch and English. Extra language is a plus.
