IoT & Telematics Technical Support Engineer

BoxTech is looking for a Technical Support Engineer with practical experience in Telematics, GPS tracking and IoT devices.

Key Responsibilities:

• Configure, test and integrate GPS tracking and IoT devices

• Integrate devices with telematics platforms, servers and customer systems

• Provide technical support for device, SIM, APN, connectivity and protocol issues

• Understand customer requirements and prepare suitable hardware solutions

• Demonstrate devices, features and complete solutions to customers

• Provide remote installation, configuration and troubleshooting support

• Analyse device logs, commands and communication data

• Coordinate with customers, software teams and hardware manufacturers

• Prepare technical proposals, wiring diagrams and configuration guides

• Support product testing, proof-of-concept projects and customer trials

Required Experience and Skills:

• Experience with GPS trackers, telematics devices or IoT hardware

• Knowledge of TCP/IP, MQTT, APIs, device protocols and server integration

• Understanding of GSM, LTE, GNSS, SIM cards and APN configuration

• Strong technical troubleshooting and customer communication skills

• Ability to explain and demonstrate technical solutions clearly

• Knowledge of Wireshark, Linux, ThingsBoard or telematics platforms is an advantage.
