Junior Legal Counsel / Rechtsreferendar (Berlin, Germany Remote)

YOUR ROLE
You will support our Chief Legal Counsel with the drafting, review, and management of a wide range of commercial contracts across the group
You will help build out and maintain our contract management processes, including our DocuSign template automation
You will support regulatory and compliance topics, including data protection (GDPR) and other requirements relevant to our banking and insurance partnerships
You will assist with corporate housekeeping and legal projects tied to our ongoing group integration
You will act as a first point of contact for routine legal questions from internal teams, translating legal considerations into clear, practical guidance
You will liaise with external counsel and support on active legal matters
YOUR PROFILE
You have completed your First State Examination (Erstes Staatsexamen) or hold an equivalent law degree; if you are looking for your Rechtsreferendariat Wahlstation, we are happy to consider you too
You are proactive and curious, with a genuine interest in seeing, doing, and learning
You have a genuine interest in fintech, payments, or financial regulation – if the product itself is new to you, we're happy to teach you
You have strong drafting and analytical skills, and enjoy translating legal detail into clear, practical guidance
You are fluent in German and English
PLUS: Ideally, you already have some working experience, e.g. from a law firm, an in-house legal team, or a relevant internship, and are familiar with contract management tools such as DocuSign
