About the Company

We are recruiting on behalf of our client, a leading digital media agency operating across South Africa and international markets.

They are looking for an Junior Paid Media Executive to join their Digital Media team, taking responsibility for the day-to-day management and optimisation of paid media campaigns while providing clients with clear, insightful performance updates.

The role offers the opportunity to take greater ownership of smaller accounts, contribute to campaign strategy and develop strong client relationships.

Responsibilities

• Build and launch paid media campaigns across relevant platforms
• Monitor and optimise campaigns to improve performance against client goals
• Analyse campaign trends, fluctuations and performance issues
• Manage advertising budgets effectively, avoiding significant over or underspend
• Take ownership of smaller accounts and their overall performance
• Provide clients with clear and insightful campaign performance updates
• Translate campaign data into actionable insights and recommendations
• Build and maintain strong professional client relationships
• Create and update basic automated reporting dashboards
• Suggest new creatives, tests, strategies, platform features and tools
• Identify opportunities to grow client accounts into additional services
• Use automation to improve campaign performance and increase efficiency
• Stay up to date with digital media trends and platform developments
• Share campaign learnings and new ideas with the wider team

Required Skills

• Around 6 months or more of hands-on paid media experience with exposure to Paid Search
• Hands-on experience building, managing and optimising paid media campaigns
• Strong understanding of digital media principles, platforms and campaign metrics
• Good analytical skills with the ability to interpret campaign performance
• Experience managing campaign budgets against client objectives
• Strong attention to detail and organisation
• Confident and professional client communication skills
• Ability to translate data into clear insights and recommendations
• A proactive approach to campaign testing and optimisation
• Ability to manage priorities and deliver work to deadlines
• Strong collaboration skills across client and internal teams

Preferred Skills

• Experience working within a digital media or performance marketing agency
• Experience managing or taking ownership of smaller client accounts
• Exposure to automated reporting dashboards
• An interest in testing new strategies, creatives, tools and platform features
• A proactive, client-focused approach with an interest in understanding clients' businesses and industries

This role would suit a hands-on paid media professional looking to develop beyond pure campaign execution into greater account ownership, client communication and strategic responsibility. Candidates across South Africa will be required to relocate to Cape Town.
