Junior Prompt Engineer

We are looking for a Junior Prompt Engineer to join our team as we support a partner in the financial sector. This role focuses on translating management problems into clear, structured instructions for large language models to assist with client work. You will help us refine how we use technology to make complex management data easier to handle.

About the Role
At Olive Tree Consulting, we believe that technology should reduce friction rather than add to it. This position exists to help our consultants turn messy, qualitative data from client meetings into structured insights. Working alongside our more experienced advisors, you will help design and test prompts that allow us to summarize meeting notes, categorize decision logs, and identify where responsibility might be getting lost in a client's current workflow. Since we are a fully remote firm, you will coordinate with the team through written communication and shared documentation. Your work will directly support our ability to provide clarity to our partners without adding unnecessary complexity.

What You Will Do

• Write and refine prompts to extract specific action items and decision points from long transcripts and notes.
• Compare the outputs of different AI models to see which one handles financial context and nuanced management language best.
• Maintain a library of successful prompts and documentation so the rest of the team can use them reliably.
• Assist in the creation of simplified reporting templates that summarize client progress on a weekly basis.
• Collaborate with our advisory team to understand the specific friction a client is facing and tailor AI responses to address it.
• Run quality checks on AI-generated summaries to ensure they capture the actual meaning and intent of a meeting.
• Help organize the smallest possible written record for our internal projects to ensure nothing is lost.
