About the Role:
We’re building a modern ticketing system and are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Automation QA Engineer to help ensure it’s reliable, stable, and ready for real-world use. You’ll be responsible for building and maintaining test automation, validating new features, and catching issues early as we continue to develop the product.
General Responsibilities:
Develop and maintain automated tests for API, E2E, and regression testing
Set up and manage test environments using Docker containers and relevant tooling
Collaborate with developers and QA to identify edge cases, write test plans, and reproduce bugs
Skills & Qualifications:
Basic knowledge of JavaScript/TypeScript (Node.js environment) and understanding of asynchronous programming and Promises
Some experience writing simple SQL queries for data setup, validation, or debugging in relational databases
Understanding of REST APIs and HTTP protocols, and some experience using API testing tools
Willingness to learn and write clean, maintainable test automation code
Exposure to Docker and containerized environments
Familiarity with Git and basic version control workflows
Eager to develop attention to detail and analytical skills for identifying issues and checking functionality
Will be a plus:
Experience with Playwright for automation testing
Hands-on experience with PostgreSQL
Performance Testing
Familiarity with CI/CD tools
Familiarity with monitoring/logging tools
