Junior React Developer

This role involves building the technical tools required to visualize and test financial assumptions for our internal team and our external partners. We are currently working with a partner that is a major financial services infrastructure provider to help them analyze capital allocation and portfolio performance across their regional divisions.

The Role
As a Junior React Developer, you will work within a fully remote environment to translate complex financial models into interactive dashboards. You will spend your time building front end components that allow our analysts to manipulate variables and see the outcome of different pricing or acquisition scenarios in real time. This position is not about building generic marketing sites: it is about creating precise tools for financial interrogation. You will be helping us build interfaces that make the underlying logic of a financial case visible to everyone involved in a decision. Since we are a small firm, you will see exactly how your technical work supports the final recommendations we make to our clients.

What You Will Be Doing

• Building and maintaining React components that display complex financial data, charts, and tables.
• Integrating front end tools with data sources to reflect changes in portfolio economics as they happen.
• Assisting in the design of user interfaces that make capital allocation models easier for non-technical users to read.
• Collaborating with our financial analysts to understand how they use data to test growth assumptions.
• Writing clean, readable code that allows for updates as our underlying financial models evolve.
• Participating in remote code reviews to learn technical standards and ensure code reliability.
• Troubleshooting interface issues to ensure the accuracy and clarity of data visualization.
• Helping document the front end architecture for internal tools and client-facing dashboards.

What You Bring

• A foundational understanding of React and modern JavaScript gained through your university studies, a bootcamp, or personal projects.
• Basic knowledge of HTML and CSS to build structured and clear user interfaces.
• A curious mindset and a desire to understand the logic behind the financial data you are visualizing.
• Comfort working in a fully remote setting where clear communication through writing and video calls is essential.
• Strong attention to detail, especially when it comes to the accuracy of numbers and data presentation.
• Familiarity with Git for version control and basic collaborative development workflows.
• An interest in finance, economics, or understanding how businesses generate real value.
• The ability to explain technical choices in plain English to colleagues who are not developers.
