Junior Recruiter (Engineering) – USA Staffing (Contract-to-Hire)

Shift: Night Shift (Supporting U.S. Eastern Time Zone)

About the Role

ALTEN Technology USA is looking for a motivated Junior Recruiter to join our U.S. Staffing team. This is an excellent opportunity for recruiters looking to build their career in U.S. technical recruitment while working with engineering and automotive clients.

Responsibilities

• Source, screen, and qualify candidates for U.S.-based engineering and technical positions.
• Conduct initial recruiter screenings to assess technical background, work authorization, and candidate fit.
• Utilize LinkedIn Recruiter, job boards, and other sourcing tools to identify qualified talent.
• Maintain accurate candidate records and recruitment activities in the Applicant Tracking System (ATS).
• Build and maintain a strong candidate database for future hiring needs.
• Coordinate interviews and maintain regular communication with candidates throughout the recruitment process.
• Work closely with senior recruiters and hiring managers to support open requirements.
• Ensure recruitment data and candidate information are accurate and up to date.

Required Qualifications

• 1–4 years of experience in Recruitment or U.S. Staffing (internship experience will also be considered).
• Good understanding of U.S. work authorization and visa classifications (US Citizen, Green Card, H-1B, TN, EAD, OPT/CPT, etc.).
• Experience using Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS).
• Experience sourcing candidates using LinkedIn Recruiter.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and support U.S. Eastern Time Zone operations.

Preferred Qualifications

• Recruitment experience supporting the Automotive industry.
• Experience recruiting for Engineering, Manufacturing, Aerospace, or other technical industries.
• Exposure to recruiting for Mechanical, Electrical, Embedded Software, Systems Engineering, Validation, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, or related engineering disciplines.
