The Role:

We are seeking a Jr. Security Researcher to collect and compile online data regarding crime, terrorism, and political issues for Iraq and other countries of interest. This requires a thorough and timely examination of key media sources and precise categorisation of media issues according to the Aldebaran methodology. The candidate must also learn about and understand the political and social context as it relates to the information that he/she collects.

Key Responsibilities:

Monitor news, social media, and other information sources for relevant security incidents and political events

Clearly and concisely present findings in English, following company guidelines and training

Accurately classify incidents using the company’s established methodology

Map incidents geographically based on available information

Ensure timely posting of information within set deadlines

Qualifications:

The ideal candidate will have:

Excellent command of English, both written and verbal

Strong organizational skills and attention to detail

The ability to work independently and manage time effectively

A genuine interest in international relations and global political developments

Must be willing to work flexible schedules, including day or night shifts, depending on operational requirements.

Current residence in the Philippines

Preferred qualifications:

Educational background in Journalism, International Relations, Political Science, or a related field
