Junior SEO Specialist - 26072001

Our client is one of the largest and fastest-growing full-service advertising agencies in South Texas, we partner with clients across 48 U.S. states and Canada, delivering measurable results for local businesses across a wide range of industries.

We're looking for a Junior SEO Specialist to join our fully remote team. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys executing SEO strategies, improving local search visibility, and working with proven systems rather than building strategies from scratch.

You'll work closely with experienced SEO professionals, following established SOPs and quarterly SEO plans while continuously developing your technical and local SEO expertise. As you grow, you'll have a clear pathway to become a Senior SEO Specialist.

What You'll Do

You'll be responsible for implementing local SEO strategies across a portfolio of clients, ensuring every task is executed accurately, consistently, and on schedule.

Local SEO & Google Business Profile Management

• Manage and optimize Google Business Profiles (GBP) for multiple clients.
• Schedule and publish Google Business Profile posts using Local Viking.
• Execute quarterly local keyword strategies and maintain consistent GBP activity.
• Monitor local rankings and identify opportunities to improve visibility.
  
  

On-Page SEO

• Implement SEO improvements on WordPress websites using AIO SEO or similar plugins.
• Optimize metadata, internal linking, headings, schema, and page structure.
• Build and update location pages and service pages.
• Improve page speed and implement technical SEO recommendations.
• Ensure website optimization aligns with each client's local SEO strategy.
  
  

Content Publishing & Optimization

• Format, publish, and optimize SEO-focused blog articles.
• Ensure content supports local keyword strategies and Google Business Profile activity.
• Refresh existing pages to improve rankings and search performance.
  
  

Local Listings & Reputation Management

• Manage local business listings through Yext and HighLevel.
• Maintain NAP consistency across directories.
• Execute reputation management workflows, including review responses for eligible clients.
  
  

SEO Research & Reporting

• Conduct keyword research and competitor analysis using Ahrefs, Nightwatch, and other SEO tools.
• Monitor rankings, website performance, and organic search trends.
• Identify optimization opportunities and share recommendations with senior team members.
• Assist with reporting and performance tracking.
  
  

Project Management & Collaboration

• Manage daily tasks and priorities in Asana.
• Collaborate with developers, content writers, and account managers to complete SEO initiatives.
• Participate in internal meetings and occasional client calls via Google Meet.
  
  

Required Experience

• 2+ years of hands-on SEO experience, preferably in an agency environment.
• Strong understanding of Local SEO and Google Business Profile optimization.
• Experience performing keyword research and competitor analysis.
• Experience implementing on-page SEO improvements in WordPress.
• Familiarity with Google Analytics 4, Google Search Console, and Google Tag Manager.
• Experience using SEO platforms such as Ahrefs, Nightwatch, SEMrush, or similar.
• Comfortable working with multiple clients simultaneously while meeting deadlines.
