Junior Software Engineer

PlatformE is the operating system for made-to-order, a platform trusted by World’s top luxury brands . When a client configures a bespoke product at one of these houses — online or in-boutique, our platform is what makes it real, at scale, across digital and physical touchpoints.

We're a small, senior team (London · Porto) shipping production software that sits inside some of the most demanding brands on earth. You'll have more ownership here in your first month than in years at a larger company.

As a Junior Software Engineer you’ll support the delivery and maintenance of client-facing software solutions by implementing technical configurations, developing and maintaining application features, troubleshooting issues, and improving delivery workflows.

• Perform routine technical builds and configurations for clients with precision and consistency.

• Work closely with the Customer Success team and project managers to ensure timely delivery of client requests.

• Identify opportunities to streamline repetitive tasks and improve efficiency where possible.

• Assist in the development, testing, and maintenance of software applications.

• Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code following best practices.

• Collaborate with senior developers and team members on software design and development.

• Debug and troubleshoot software issues to ensure smooth functionality.

• Work with databases, APIs, and third-party integrations as needed.

• Follow Agile development methodologies and participate in sprint planning.

• Stay updated with new technologies and continuously improve technical skills.

• Communicate effectively with team members to ensure project success.

• Assist in writing technical documentation for code and software features. practices.

• Bachelor’s degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science or other relevant field or self-taught

• 1-2 years of proven experience in software development.

• Proficiency in Python.

• Excellent problem-solving skills with a proactive and solution-oriented mindset.

• Excellent communication skills and a team-oriented environment.

• Ability to learn and adapt to new technologies and programming languages.

• Attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality software.

• A passion for continuous learning and adaptation to new technologies and programming languages.

• Familiarity with DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines.
