About Mosaic Conseil
Mosaic Conseil is a boutique remote consultancy that operates as a focused workshop for business artifacts. We do not produce slide decks or manage standing retainers. Instead, we take apart existing business plans, pricing models, and financial ledgers to rebuild them against the hard evidence of the balance sheet. Our process is deliberate and personal. Every project is handled by two people: one who builds and one who challenges the construction. This method ensures that every assumption is tested before any file is returned to a client. We remain a small team by design, ensuring that the professionals who perform the analysis are the same ones who answer the phone.
Our current work involves a project for a Central European logistics firm. We are rebuilding the interfaces they use to track and manage their shipping networks. This requires a Junior UI Developer who is interested in the intersection of data and design. This role is fully remote, allowing you to work from wherever you are most productive while staying connected to a team that values deep work over corporate theater.
What you would do
As a Junior UI Developer, you will be responsible for building the visual components of the digital tools we are developing for our logistics client. You will translate complex logistical data into functional web interfaces that are easy to navigate and understand. Your daily tasks will include:
- Coding clear and responsive layouts using modern web standards.
- Converting data models and ledgers into interactive dashboards and reporting views.
- Participating in our builder and challenger process by reviewing the UI logic of your peers.
- Writing documentation that explains the reasoning behind specific interface choices.
- Fixing styling inconsistencies and ensuring the interface scales across different screen sizes.
- Testing layouts against real world data sets to ensure information remains legible under load.
- Collaborating with our analytical team to ensure the UI accurately reflects the underlying business logic.
Helpful background
This is an entry level role, and we are primarily looking for individuals with a strong technical foundation and a willingness to learn our specific development philosophy. We find the following skills and traits helpful for this position:
- Basic proficiency in HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
- Familiarity with at least one modern frontend library or framework, such as React or Vue.
- A clear understanding of layout principles and an eye for typographical detail.
- Strong written communication skills, as we rely heavily on text and documentation for coordination.
- The ability to follow logic and argue for a design choice based on evidence rather than feeling.
- Prior experience with version control tools like Git is beneficial.
- An interest in the logistics industry or the movement of physical goods across borders.
- The discipline to manage your own schedule and work independently in a remote setting.
How we work
At Mosaic Conseil, we prioritize the quality of the artifact above all else. We do not have morning stand-ups or unscheduled meetings. Instead, we dedicate large blocks of time to concentration. Our remote structure is built on trust and the expectation that every team member is a capable professional. The builder and challenger dynamic is the core of our quality control. For every piece of UI you build, another team member will attempt to find flaws or edge cases in your code. This is not about criticism, but about ensuring the final product delivered to our logistics client is as robust as possible. We work on paper and in code, and we expect every developer to be able to explain their work in plain English.
What the role offers
This position provides a professional environment free from the distractions often found in larger firms. You will have the opportunity to do meaningful work for a significant Central European logistics organization while enjoying the flexibility of a fully remote setup. We value the quiet and focus required to solve difficult problems. The role is a permanent, full-time position that comes with a competitive salary. The pay is attractive and reflects the value we place on entry level talent who are eager to master their craft. You will be working in an environment that respects your time and your need for autonomy. Because we remain a small workshop, your contributions will be highly visible and central to the success of our projects. We provide the space for you to develop your skills through direct application and rigorous peer review.
Our commitment to the internal logic of a business means we look for people who enjoy the process of solving puzzles. We are building tools that help a logistics company see its own network more clearly. This requires a developer who views code as a tool for clarity and evidence-based decision making.
