Junior UI Engineer

Bavarian Capital is currently expanding its technical team to support a long term engagement with our client, a Spanish energy company. We are looking for a Junior UI Engineer to help build and maintain the digital interfaces that facilitate their energy management and reporting systems. About the role
The Junior UI Engineer will work within our dedicated engineering group to develop clear and functional user interfaces for complex data applications. In this context, you will be responsible for ensuring that the visual elements of our software are implemented with precision and care. You will collaborate with senior developers and designers to bridge the gap between technical back end requirements and the visual experience. This position is fully remote, providing a professional environment where you can focus on technical craft and steady progress without the distractions of a traditional office setting.

What you will do

• Convert design mockups and wireframes into responsive, functional web components using modern code standards.
• Collaborate with the design team to ensure visual consistency across the entire user interface.
• Write clean, modular, and maintainable CSS and HTML to support a high standard of visual presentation.
• Assist in the implementation of interactive elements using JavaScript and modern front end libraries.
• Test user interfaces across different browsers and devices to find and resolve display or functionality issues.
• Participate in team meetings to discuss technical approaches and project updates regarding the Spanish energy initiative.
• Document UI components and style guides to maintain a clear record of the interface architecture.
• Perform regular maintenance and minor updates to existing application screens as requirements evolve.
• Review code with peers to learn established best practices and ensure consistency with firm standards.

What we are looking for

• A foundational knowledge of HTML5, CSS3, and core JavaScript.
• Familiarity with at least one modern front end framework, such as React, Vue, or Angular.
• A keen eye for detail and the ability to precisely replicate design specifications.
• A disciplined approach to writing code and a commitment to maintaining technical standards.
• Strong communication skills, with the ability to describe technical challenges in a straightforward manner.
• The ability to manage tasks independently while working in a distributed, remote team environment.
• A willingness to learn and adapt to the specific technical requirements of the investment and energy sectors.
