Closing Date: 21st August 2026 Contract Type: Permanent Salary: £34,896 - £37,746 Hours: 35 per week Stirling Justice Social Work Service is currently looking to recruit a highly motivated and enthusiastic Justice Officer to join the team to help deliver Core Statutory Social Work services. The post holder will work as part of a busy team to help plan, organise and manage offenders in the community, and support the supervision of Court Orders and Licences in the community. Duties will include providing a Social Work service in accordance with relevant legislation. This will include Court based tasks such as completing assessments for bail supervision and supervising bail supervision orders. The role will also involve supervising Structured Deferred Sentences and Diversion From Prosecution and completing required reports. The post holder will also be responsible for supporting social workers in the delivery of Community Payback Orders and post-release licences. The successful candidate will also be involved in the delivery of interventions that promote desistance including delivery of accredited programmes such as Caledonian and Moving Forward 2 Change. Full training and support will be given to ensure that you are able to maintain the department’s commitment to continuous improvement. The service provides evening appointments and group work sessions to accommodate service users in full time employment who are unable to attend during normal office hours. The successful candidate may be asked to support the delivery of these commitments. The successful candidate will work 35 hours per week, we aim to provide flexible working arrangements to meet the needs of the service and promote a positive work/life balance. This post is regulated work with children and/or protected adults under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007.
