Our core program is a high-touch, cohort-based AI and Cloud career coaching experience built for working tech professionals — developers, DevOps/SRE and cloud engineers, product and business analysts, and data engineers/scientists — who want a real career outcome, not just another course. Students get a personalized roadmap, one-to-one mentorship, mock interviews, and a placement guarantee backed by real accountability: if a qualifying role isn't landed inside the program timeline, students get additional time and support, and ultimately a refund if the outcome still isn't achieved after they've held up their end of the work. We're scaling this program across the US, UK, Canada, Europe, and Australia, and this role sits at the center of how we deliver on that promise for our US students: someone technical enough to be credible with working IT professionals, and accountable enough to own whether they actually win. The Role This is an ownership role. Unlike a monitoring or advocacy function, you don't just notice when a student is off track — you're accountable for getting them back on track and, ultimately, for the outcome: a placement, or a real step up into AI or Cloud. You'll carry a cohort of students end-to-end. You won't do this alone. You'll have access to K21's coaches and subject-matter experts (technical delivery specialists, career strategists) and can bring them into group sessions or 1:1 calls whenever a student needs something beyond what you can personally deliver— a deep technical walkthrough, a mock interview in a specialist domain, etc. Coordinating that access is part of the job. Owning the outcome, regardless of who's in the room, is the rest of it. What to Expect ● Own a cohort of students end-to-end — their progress, their targets, and ultimately their outcome (placement or a documented upskilling step into AI/Cloud). ● Run regular group sessions and check-ins, primarily facilitating rather than lecturing — creating the space, keeping momentum, and knowing when to bring in a specialist. ● Identify when a student needs something you can't personally provide (deep technical instruction, a niche mock interview, etc.) and coordinate access to the right coach or expert — without losing ownership of the student's overall progress. ● Track and drive each student's progress against weekly/monthly targets and placement-guarantee conditions — not just observe them, but actively work to move the needle. ● Stay credible in technical conversations with working IT professionals — you don't need to out-code them, but you need to speak their language on cloud, DevOps, and AI career paths convincingly. ● Work a 10 PM–8 AM shift (your local time), giving you meaningful overlap with all major US time zones during their working day. How This Differs From Our Advocacy Role K21 also has a Student Success & Advocacy Manager role, whose job is to monitor and flag issues, then hand them off. This role is the opposite end of that: you don't hand issues off — you own them through to resolution. Where the org chart settles (whether this role sits alongside, above, or eventually absorbs parts of our existing delivery coaching function) is still being finalized internally; the accountability described above is what's fixed. KPIs ● Placement rate (or documented upskilling milestone rate) for your owned cohort, against the qualifying-role threshold. ● % of students meeting weekly/monthly targets and placement-guarantee conditions on pace. ● % of stalled/at-risk students brought back on track within a defined window. ● Appropriate use of expert escalation — students getting the right specialist help without you losing ownership of their overall progress. ● Group session attendance and engagement rate. ● Student satisfaction / NPS for your cohort
