Korean-Bilingual Administrative Assistant Location: Los Angeles, California (Hybrid) Pay Rate: $20.00 – $22.00 per hour Position Overview Our client, a consumer beauty products organization, is seeking a Korean-bilingual Administrative Assistant for a hybrid, three-month contract engagement based in Los Angeles, California. The role provides administrative support across the business with a particular focus on communication between English- and Korean-speaking colleagues and partners. Korean language capability is a core requirement rather than a nice-to-have, as the position involves regular written and verbal communication in both languages. The role suits an organized, personable administrator who enjoys being the connective tissue of a busy office. Key Responsibilities You will provide day-to-day administrative support including calendar management, meeting coordination, travel arrangements, expense processing, and the preparation of documents, presentations, and correspondence in both English and Korean. You will act as a communication bridge between English- and Korean-speaking colleagues, partners, and vendors, translating documents and correspondence, interpreting in meetings where needed, and ensuring that information passes accurately in both directions. You will maintain organized filing and record systems, both physical and digital, manage incoming communications and route them appropriately, process purchase orders and invoices, and track administrative deadlines so that nothing falls through. You will support office operations including supply ordering, vendor coordination, visitor hosting, and event or meeting logistics, and provide ad hoc project support across departments as workload requires. You will support cross-border coordination including scheduling across time zones, preparing bilingual meeting materials and summaries, and following up on action items with counterparts in both regions. You will also assist with order, shipment, and vendor documentation where Korean-language correspondence is involved, ensuring details are captured accurately in both languages. Requirements Professional fluency in both Korean and English, written and spoken, at a level sufficient for business correspondence and translation, is required. Prior administrative assistant, office coordinator, or comparable support experience is required, along with proficiency in Microsoft Office applications including Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. You must demonstrate strong organizational skills, sound judgment about priority and confidentiality, and clear professional communication. The role follows a hybrid schedule requiring regular onsite presence in Los Angeles, California. Preferred Qualifications Prior experience in the beauty, cosmetics, consumer products, or retail sector is preferred, as is experience supporting cross-border or Korea-based business relationships. Familiarity with Google Workspace, ERP or order management systems, and basic bookkeeping or accounts payable processes is advantageous. Prior formal translation experience and any exposure to marketing or sales support work are also valued. Experience working with Korean manufacturers, suppliers, or parent-company functions is highly valued. Familiarity with import and shipping documentation, comfort with fast-changing priorities typical of consumer beauty businesses, and any experience supporting executives or visiting delegations are all advantageous. Compensation and Benefits This engagement pays an hourly rate in the range of $20.00 to $22.00, based on experience, across a three-month contract with a defined end date. The hybrid schedule offers a balance of onsite collaboration and remote flexibility. You will work in a fast-moving consumer products environment where bilingual capability is genuinely valued and visible, building both administrative and cross-cultural business experience. Extension or conversion may be possible depending on performance and organizational need. This is a contract engagement placed through our recruiting team. We work closely with our contract professionals throughout the assignment, from onboarding and first-week check-ins through to end-of-contract planning, and we actively look for the next opportunity for people who deliver well. Many of our contract placements lead to extensions, repeat assignments, or permanent conversion. We are an equal opportunity employer.
