Job Overview

Medilinkers is seeking fluent Korean ↔ English Medical Interpreters to facilitate accurate and effective communication between Korean-speaking patients and English-speaking healthcare providers.

The ideal candidate should have excellent Korean and English proficiency, strong listening and communication skills, and the ability to accurately interpret medical terminology, diagnoses, treatments, and healthcare-related conversations while maintaining strict patient confidentiality.

Key ResponsibilitiesInterpretation

• Accurately interpret between Korean and English during medical conversations.
• Facilitate communication between patients, doctors, nurses, and other healthcare professionals.
• Interpret medical terminology, diagnoses, treatments, procedures, and healthcare-related information.
• Provide interpretation services through both OPI (audio) and VRI (video).
• Maintain accuracy, neutrality, and professionalism throughout every interaction.

Confidentiality & Professionalism

• Maintain strict patient confidentiality at all times.
• Follow professional and ethical standards for medical interpretation.
• Demonstrate cultural sensitivity when working with patients and healthcare providers.
• Remain calm and professional during sensitive or high-pressure conversations.

Qualifications

• Fluency in Korean and English.
• Previous interpretation experience is preferred.
• Medical interpretation or healthcare-related experience is an advantage.
• Knowledge of medical terminology and healthcare conversations.
• Excellent listening, communication, and comprehension skills.
• Strong cultural awareness and professionalism.
• Ability to work effectively in a remote environment.
• Ability to handle confidential and sensitive medical conversations.

Technical Requirements

Candidates must have:

• Reliable internet connection with a minimum of 10 Mbps download and upload speed.
• PC/Laptop: 5th Generation or higher.
• Minimum 4 GB RAM.
• USB headset.
• LAN/Ethernet connection.
• HD webcam.
• Quiet and professional workspace suitable for confidential medical conversations.

Training & Assessment

• Training Duration: 5 days
• Training Schedule: 1–2 hours per day
• Training: Unpaid
• Training will begin September 2026 onwards.
• Candidates who successfully pass the assessment will proceed to the working stage.

Compensation

$0.20 per minute of TalkTime

Equivalent to $12 per hour of TalkTime
